RAK Airways Starts Cheap Flights to India

RAK Airways, one of the national carrier of the United Arab Emirates(UAE), has announced that it will resume the flights to India starting its services with four flights per week between Jeddah(UAE) and Kozhikode(India).

As Per the standard flight offerings, the price of each RAK flight would include a full meal and beverages on board all flights, a baggage allowance of 30kg per passenger as well as the normal hand baggage allowance and free shuttle service between the neighboring emirates for each flight.Flights to Jeddah will be on Sundays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, leaving at 8 am and arriving in Jeddah at 10 am.Flights to Kozhikode will also be on the same days leaving at 10.15 pm and arriving in Kozhikode at 3.35 am.

The choice of Jeddah and Kozikode is a wise move on part of the RAK Airlines. While Jeddah is the gateway to Saudi Arabia’s holiest sites  there is a steady stream of traffic there from India Kozhikode was chosen as the gateway to South Indian state Kerala, home to a large number of UAE’s expatriate workforce.

RAK Airways aims to follow the cheap flight Booking model wherein  the aims is to to differentiate itself from competition by offering lower fares and more number of flights. Many Indian Airlines already have flights on these sectors.
